Bishop Vincent Jesse Jones

Bishop Vincent J. Jones was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. He grew up in a family that loved the Lord and understood the power and authority of God’s Word. He accepted his call to the Gospel Ministry in 1987. He was honored to have God to call on him for such an awesome task. Bishop Jones began preaching in his community and abroad as he was excited to share with others Gods word and his own personal testimony.

In 1992, God called for Bishop Jones into the Pastorate and allowed him to birth Garden of Prayer Christian Ministries. As a result of this vision, many were saved by God’s word and many were blessed abundantly through this ministry. Indeed, Garden of Prayer became the catalyst for what God had in store for the life of Bishop Vincent Jones.

In 1995, Bishop Jones founded Refuge Ministries which at that time provided a covering for newly established, as well as struggling ministries in order to assist them in developing growing and effective ministries. This covering consisted of providing such services as training opportunities and Counseling. Bishop Jones also wrote several training manuals during this period to help churches’ become established and to grow in spiritual maturity.

Since that time, Refuge Ministries has grown and become a congregation of saved people who are making great strives “…To know Him and the Power of His resurrection.” (Philippians 3:10)

Running a close second to his love of the Gospel Ministry is his Music ministry. He has served as a Minister of Music for over 20 years and at every given opportunity he can be found on the organ. Bishop Jones has also been blessed to be invited to contribute articles in a christian magazine entitled "Vision". He is both thankful and humbled to God for this written vehicle of ministry as it gives him the opporunity to be able to reach others through the healing and delivering Word of God.

Bishop Jones is currently pursuing his Doctorate degree in Christian Counseling. His desire is to be able to utilize this degree to serve the church and the community more effectively to address the issues that effect our walk with God.

He Co-Pastors with his lovely wife, Victoria and they are the proud parents of Jessica Diana and Vincent Jonathan II. Bishop Jones is a man on a mission from God who is uniquely articulate with the word that God has deposited within him and is greatly respected for how he ministers God’s word.
